INTRODUCTION
An exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in impact investment. Snowball is an FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) authorised investment manager that gives investors access to a diversified, global, multi-asset, multi-manager portfolio of investments. These investments provide positive impact for social equity and environmental sustainability in conjunction with competitive financial returns.
We are looking for a Business Development and Fundraising Manager who shares our passion for delivering broad and long-lasting positive Impact. Our current fund is structured as an evergreen Limited Partnership which means that Snowball is continuously fundraising and encouraging both new and existing investors to commit capital to create positive Impact.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Working in a small team (currently ten people) you will be involved in all areas of the business, ensuring Snowball is strongly placed to manage future growth. Specifically, you will be responsible for managing fundraising and helping with marketing and investor relations activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising
Working closely with each of the CEO, COO and CIO you will help shape, manage and support Snowball’s fundraising strategy and activities.
You will be the first point of contact for potential investors and be responsible for managing all meetings and follow-ups. You will be responsible for research and origination, managing both the pipeline of potential investors and the investor CRM database. You will also be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of RFPs / due diligence requests and data room, working closely with the Head of Marketing in preparing fundraising materials, pitch decks etc.
Marketing
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing to help maintain Snowball’s edge and competitive position, assisting with product market research, competitor analysis and presentations for internal strategic meetings.
Investor relations
You will also contribute to fund closings, investor reporting, and investor events.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstrable interest in social equity and/or environmental sustainability
- 3+ years of relevant experience: [placement agent, investor relations, fundraising]
- Self motivated with a desire to succeed and a proactive approach
- Strong relationship-building and project management skills
- Excellent, and accurate, communication skills
- Flexible and willing attitude
- Knowledge of high net worth, family office, foundation, institutional and consultant investor communities an advantage
- Experience of a regulated fund management environment helpful but not essential
